Guitar Lessons |
I have been teaching private guitar lessons since my freshmen year in high school. It started with a few kids on my swim team showing interest in learning guitar. Eventually I transformed my bedroom into a studio, taught everyday of the week, and hired a secretary to do my scheduling (my mom). I created business cards, contacted parents and schools, and even arranged for concerts that they families could attend. I have continued teaching today and still have some of the same students I had when I began. Here's a few of my students! |
ClaraClara just started taking guitar lessons this past year. She is spunky, wild, and talented. She loves playing Ode to Joy, and every week I drive to her house to teach her, she has a new song to show me. She has sung for the local Bluegrass night in her town, and lessons with her is a highlight of my week.

SaraSara is my oldest (age wise and time she has been taking lessons with me) guitar student. She began taking guitar lessons in third grade and I continue to teach her whenever I come home. She is now part of the high school guitar ensemble, in a guitar quartet, and in a county-wide ensemble. Sara plays beautiful classical guitar pieces, and has covered songs by some of her favorite bands.

FaithFaith has been playing ukulele for several years now, and just recently started playing guitar. She is not only a talented guitar player, but a talented musician. She writes her own creative songs and has a beautiful and unique singing voice.
