Autism Research.I wrote a research paper on students with Autism and how to teach the individual while meeting the needs of the entire class as a whole. The paper includes different ways to incorporate new teaching strategies to reach this specific population. I have also included ways to include teaching literacy in the music classroom to these students.

Special Education.Meet Collin and Courtney.
Collin is three and a half years old, loves to play with play dough, loves to sing, never wants to take a nap, and has cerebral palsy. His inability to walk has never dampened his joy. Courtney is twenty-seven years old, loves pizza, always wears her baseball cap, loves JMU, and has downs-syndrome. Her humor, hugs, and goofiness are contagious. I have been an aid for both of the most incredible individuals for the past two years. I have been blessed to have changed diapers, given medication, driven to work, and simply experience the joy of Collin and Courtney.
